DON'T GO! Honestly the best times I have had are at Wynn's Tryst and the Palms clubs, especially Ghostbar. All in all TAO is just another ridiculous and overrated experience in Vegas. Apparently you are taking your life in your hands when you peacefully try and exit a BAD club. On the way out I actually got punched in the chest by some girl who wouldn't let us walk through to the exit, and have a huge bruise as a result. The only highlight of the club was the bathroom doors that fog up when you lock them and clear when you unlock. What's the use in having a reservation at all? My friend and I went to the club hoping it would be better than dinner, and it's equally awful, they let in too many people and the dancefloor was TINY. I think it's ridiculous when you have a reservation and still wait an hour before you are seated. The food was so-so, and given all the hype TAO was extremely unwelcoming, full of snobs, and crowded. You would think that with that many staff they could efficiently run a restaurant and get people in and out quickly, but no. Terrible waiter service, and a zillion other random staff running around like secret service. They cram in too many people into the restaurant, and the drinks are overpriced and WATERED DOWN. While trying to leave I did get a good chuckle out of the 10 or so guys purposely standing below the bathroom balcony and looking up the skirts of the ladies as they came out of the bathrooms.įunny how someone else wrote similar things, I really thought I was the only one who felt this way. All I saw were way too many people, all crammed in a room drinking weak drinks, listening to bad remixes of even worse songs. I don't even know what the hype is all about. It also took us over 20 minutes to find the exit as one staff person would point us towards one exit sign, only to get there and be turned around rudely by another security guard. Even though my wife was happy she got to go to this so-called "It" place to be and dance, she even admitted that it wasn't as grand as she thought it would be. Then there is the guys bathroom, single room that reminded me of a local dive bar bathroom, with a line 20-30 guys deep waiting to use it. Then on to the restrooms, ladies have the entire second floor balcony filled with private bathroom stalls with clear glass doors that automatically fog when locked. So I sent my wife to get the drinks, and bingo, took less than 3 minutes. I would stand there patiently, only to be cut off by some drunk bimbo with her dress half falling off of her. I went to the bar to try and get a drink but all the bartenders seemed to only want to serve the ladies. Once we got in I found it overcrowded and nearly impossible to find your way around. When I asked what the code was, he just told me that I had better look pretty good. We were told by the concierge that my wife could pretty much wear whatever she wanted, but that I would be adhered to a strict dress code. As hotel guests at the Venetian we went to get our names put on the VIP list. Overcrowded, overpriced, and if your a guy, expect to be treated like garbage. First off I agree with almost every other complaint on here. Wife and I went for our first wedding anniversary.
